High School/Middle School Sacramental Prep for First Eucharist
Sacramental preparation for Middle School/High School candidates taking the sacrament of First Eucharist will resume on Sunday 2/13/05 . The classes will be held from 9:30 to 12:15 on Sunday 2/13, 2/20, 3/6 and 3/19. Classes are mandatory. First Eucharist will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 -time to be determined.

Middle School Schedule
Middle School Grades 7 and 8th will follow the same schedule as High School--Not Elementary School. Classes are held 6:30 to 7:45 in the Trinity Room or Life Teen Room (8th grade in Trinity Room & 7th Grade in Life Teen Room).

We want to include your event (play, concert, sporting event/awards ceremony) in this section so let us know about your activities so that you can have some 'friendly faces' at your event!

If you are planning on making the sacrament of Confirmation in 2005 or are in middle school/high school and preparing for First Eucharist, you will also be required to attend one of the Soup Kitchen visitations. Confirmation candidates are required to perform 14 more hours of community service. All hours must be approved by Christine Martin-Santos, in order to be considered as a Confirmation Service hour requirement. Next Soup Kitchen Visit is Saturday 4/9/05--meeting @ St. Patrick’s @ 7:15AM and returning to the church around 1PM.

St. Patrick's Youth Group has a “Praise and Worship Step Team". Any teen between 13 to 18 who may be interested in participating in this unique form of worship, please contact Pam cabaysa@hotmail.com.

Sonfest—June 6 to June 10, 2005. Beach Retreat in Ft. Walton Florida hosted by the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Cost is $320 with a $100 deposit due 3/1/05. Attendance at this event must be approved by the youth ministers and participant must be a current High School student.

Steubenville Atlanta—Regional Youth Rally for all Catholic Teens located in the South East--This is a fabulous experience with great music and wonderful speakers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The event is being held Friday 7/22/05 through Sunday 7/24/05 at the Gwinnett Civic Center. Cost is $190 but we will be performing fundraising to offset the cost. Any rising High School Student and graduating Senior is invited to attend.

*****National Catholic Youth Conference*****
The national Youth Conference is being held in Atlanta October 27-30, 2005. Teens from all over the United States will be coming to the Conference! More details will follow but we have spots for 20 teens to attend.

Catholic Youth Day at Six Flags--Sunday 4/24/05 --Teen Mass at the park with lots of fun afterwards! Event is for Middle School/High School students. Cost is $35 and includes a return trip to the park and lunch.

(High School only)XLT will be held at St. Andrew's in Roswell every Tuesday. We carpool from St. Patrick’s at 6:30PM.

High School Retreat Information
Spring Retreat is Friday 3/11/05 to Sunday 3/13/05.

Location: We are back at Camp Westminster for both retreats!

Retreat participants meet at St. Patricks @ 6:15PM. Retreat ends with Life Teen Mass.
Cost $40 including all meals and Tee Shirt. ($5 off if Parent is a driver)

Middle School Youth Rally will be held at St. Andrews Church in Roswell from 1PM to 9PM on Saturday 1/22/05.

Service Project opportunities

Youth Ministry Breakfast
Youth Ministry is hosting a Pancake/Waffle Breakfast February 27 after the 8AM and 10AM mass. We will be selling root beer floats after the 12PM mass. Proceeds will benefit youth ministry projects.

Parish Clean Up Days (We are TEAM E)
We are scheduled for Parish Clean up on Saturday, March 5 or March 19--confirmation of the date is still pending. This is an easy way to earn your service hours, everyone!

Next Soup Kitchen visit is Saturday 4/9/05--meet @ St. Patrick’s @ 7:15AM and return to the church around 1PM.

Teen Accomplishments (updated monthly)

Congratulations to the following Confirmation candidates who scored 95% or above on their Confirmation Test Rey Pineda, Caleb Moreno, Jo Beth Brooks, Mary Crippen and Michael Werve and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Michelle Leone who scored 101% (she got a bonus point for giving an extra answer)

Congratulations to Camilla Santiago, St. Patrick’s Senior of the Year. She will be be recognized by the Archdiocese of Atlanta in a special mass to be held at the Cathedral of Christ the King, 10AM on Saturday, 2/19/05.

Congratulations to German Abreau, for completing his Eagle Scout Project. Under German's leadership, the Grotto to the Virgin Mary outside of St. Patrick's has benches.
